During May, the sun in Iceland is only gone for 2 hours, resulting in a very low angle how the sun sets at the horizon. This is photographic heaven as you have a lot more time to take your photos. I loved the colors so much that I stayed here after midnight, being tired, and looking forward to the 1 hour drive to the hotel which I still needed to accomplish.
New York, what a fantastic city. I couldn't tell how much I love it to be there, regardless of what time in the year. This is actually February, standing on top of the Rockefeller Center below freezing point, it was so cold that my fellows I traveled with waited in a heated area until I finished my photos, which I completely understand, but my passion for these kind of photos is stronger than any weather can be.
